On Sunday, January 24, VOICE is organizing Restorative Justice Sunday. VOICE congregations in coalition with congregations across Oklahoma are joining together to preach a message of hope and vision for a brighter future.
In the afternoon, please join us at 3 p.m. at St. John Missionary Baptist Church, 5700 N Kelley, for a presentation called “Public Safety at Risk: Fines and Fees and the Oklahoma Criminal Justice System,” put together by members of the VOICE Restorative Justice Action Team. We will be in the M.L. Jemison Education Center on the east side of the campus.
Following the presentation, we will propose concrete steps congregations can take to make changes in the upcoming legislative session and beyond.
